A lack-luster Thursday left Luke lounging in his apartment, mindlessly consuming the television entertainment. While the man on the game show buzzed to answer, Luke’s apartment began to shake. The television flickering between the show and blankness as items around him rattled. A blink of an eye later, he was on the floor, staring up at a different ceiling.

The shaking subsided, allowing Luke to adjust to his new surroundings. He was no longer in his apartment, but a spacious and bright home. Additionally, Luke was also not a male anymore, but a girl. The initial shock turned into confusion, that fused into a smile, as Luke made eye contact with the slanted mirror. Luke noticed he wasn’t just any girl, but a younger, attractive one.

Sliding the ID from behind the phone, he read Phoebe, who was 20, the same age as Luke. While the spontaneous transition was perplexing, he decided to send a picture of his panty-clad self to his new attendant, asking if they knew what happened.
