He knew they were shifty. He saw it in the way the car sped along the lane, and he knew for certain when a couple of twenty dollar bills drifted wildly in the wind in the wake of the speeding car.

But it was the girl's eyes that turned him from a cop into a predator. Greener than the floating dollarbills. Two beacons of the wildest, absinthe-like green that pulled him forward. Almost physically pulling him off his motorcycle.

Over the blare of his sirens, and the red and blue flickering lights, Officer Frollo twisted the handle bar, increasing his velocity.

Green. Such an unusual colour in this desert, a muted palet of golden and brown.

He ducked lower, becoming one with his engine.

Game on.
