Description My part of the trade I did with

I'm really quite nervous about this one. Much sweat and agonizing was spent when drawing this man.

I can only hope and pray that you like it, A.

My favourite mad and intense medieval priest, yay! It's so nice to see him portrayed by you...the guy's lovely!

He was fun to do! I'm still kinda partial to tall cranky and grey, but I understand his appeal somewhat

Yeah, intense, broody and crazy/desperate men are so appealing to me...Mmmh, no wonder people think I'm odd, lol!

You did an excellent job! He looks very beautiful, and also proud in a way.. and I really love those pretty eyes staring back at me.

I tried my best with him. I think he has a bit of a "puppy dog look" going on actually. It's...sweet, actually. *hihi*,I never thought I'd be calling any Frollo sweet, I know some people will want my ears for this...

Oh, Frollo can be both sweet and sexy, I don't mind at all, haha. But to be honest, I'd say that book-Frollo over all has a more sweeter look over him, instead of Frollo who just looks incredibly hot all the time.

Ah, you nailed it girl. Good one!

( Though calling the archdeacon sweet would be a little stretch. He can be fairly corrosive. )

Maybe he doesn't have a sweet personality, I was moslty reffering to the looks, but you're absolutely right.

Your work has, as always, a high level of recognition. This pic is no Exception of course.
Anyway, I hope you'll keep drawing Disney Frollo for us feeble foolish Fangirls, because I simply love the Judge, and your version of him, much stronger.
Enough said!

Thanks! I enjoyed drawing this, because it meant I had to work a little out of my comfort zone. But still, I respect and admire the archdeacon and I adore the book, so it was no big pain on my behalf

I already have a half dozen Judge! pics lined up. He's my Muse, he's my passion, he's the reason I write and draw ( and sometimes get out of the bed in the morning).

I suspect Minister Frollo is here to stay...and play...

I'm so glad you and decided to do this! Such lovely work from both of you. I'm also delighted by all the details in the robe. I especially approve of the solemn gray eyes. As always, your sick traditional media skillz make me so jealous.

I'm happy you enjoyed us going head to head. Well, actually, we get along great, but don't tell anyone (hihi)

I've discovered that I really like designing small detaily stuff,it helps to clear my mind, if that makes sense.
I really focused on the eyes, really wanted to make them "Pop", so to speak.

Ah, sick media skillz? Naah, having the right tools is 80 % of the work, I tells ya!

Long time no speak by the way! Are you doing okay?

I'm doing quite well, but I haven't had the time to keep up with dA as I should! I've been trying my dashedest to have something of a social life in addition to school, you see. I'll never be a party girl--I don't even drink--but I have discovered I enjoy dancing! And then those boys, those darned, distracting boys.

Howlingmojo In reply to bluemoonriver [2011-11-23 14:02:58 +0000 UTC]

Yay, for having a social life. Good for you! Dance on, girl!

Ahhh....men. I will never consider myself to be an expert on that subject, even though I have been in a committed relationship for nigh on twelve years now. The male species continues to vex and baffle me.
If you ever need to vent or need me to act as an Agony Aunt, you can of course always mail me. I'd be happy to function as a sounding board!

Beautiful job! I have always loved how you draw his eyes. It's like you can see right into his soul, love it!

Your work is amazing and it's foolish on this place to remove you from there. Oh, well, you know our door is always open for amazing artists like yourself at all our Frollo groups.

Thank you so much, dearie!

I had fun with this one. Kinda made me want to try my hand at him moar often. But don't tell anyone. Shh.

*Back to your regular schedule*

Now, where was I? Ahh, in the middle of the process of healing a cranky old judge...

ChristineFrollophile In reply to Howlingmojo [2011-11-23 05:47:50 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I would love to see more Book Frollo from you and naw, the judge won't mind. It's because of Book Frollo that he even exists, so it's all good.

Awww, poor cranky old judge, yes, he needs some healing, some TLC. I gotta do some writing myself.

Hear hear. You have the power to say in one sentence what it takes others ( like me) a whole book.

I love you for that.

Did you update your lovely co-written romp? *iz checking*

Oh, thankies, tho, believe me, I can ramble on too, haha! Love you too.

Oh, yes, it has been updated, in fact it's now Kara's turn to respond. That is such a fun little story. I have always loved the idea of the characters running around the park, getting into various situations. It's just so fascinating!

Yes! Book!Claude. Oh dear, you have no idea how happy I am to see one on DA after painfuly long time! And you captured him perfectly - the age ), his eyes, my favourite "haircut", haha. Generally, it's my beloved design of this character (GOD BLESS LEMUD'S and BRION'S works). Also, I am jealous a little... You got some saint's patience to draw such details on his robe/cope - I am always like "fuck this shit" Of course, his gaze also deserve my attantion - even if I see a part of Judge's soul in his eyes, haha. Yes, happens to all artists; always soaking characters with own ideals~~
Well, I am really thankful for this art - that trade was really nice one, not harming too much...I hope, haha. You can back to your Judge in peace now

Boop!

I recently discovered I like drawing all those mad effing details, they calm my mind. I'm glad you like, bro.

What you see is stilted love in those deadening eyes.

Or alternatively, he needs a hug.

Hmm...judge...
