Witchtober Day 10, Tree Leaves

Fall had its special treasures, just like all the seasons.

But his home is in the mountains now where the lush oaks and maples are scarce, pines taking root where roots can sprawl at all. He won't see the cool, whispering fires of the changing leaves very often anymore. Not from below, anyway. Now and then he gets the chance, though, when the route of his patrol takes him along the strips of forest lining the roots of the mountains themselves.
