Some might say it was bound to happen; war has a habit of finding warriors after all and it would seem to be no different for Vergil or Helfysir.
Chance and circumstance had led them to catching sight of one another from across the expanse of meadow while trailing the promising scent of prey. While another wolf hadn't been their quarry, neither was willing to allow the other to pass any further without conflict. Although Stonehaven had made its intolerance of Kol irrefutably clear, Helfysir felt it could be made clearer yet. And for the Kol? Vergil was undeterred. He and his pack had been born of discrimination and there was no better time to show that the northern wolves would meet resistance head-on.
The evening glow would not be the only hue of red cast across the field before the sun went down.
