Yeah, this is an "issue" which has been plauging the Thomas fandom lately; some ridiculous rumor that Edward and Henry are being written out of the Steam Team and the show.

First of all, Edward and Henry have been part of the franchise from the very beginning in 1943, and they've appeared in every season of the show since it first started. To kill off a pair of characters that are practically staples of the show would be a very stupid move, and Mattel would never sink to that level.

Secondly, do fans realize that the Steam Team concept is redundant? Yes, engines 1-7 and Emily are the core cast, but since season 17, there's been much more emphasis on on the "& Friends" part of the title. Edward and Henry are still main characters, and again, they always will be.

To put it simply, replacing Edward and Henry in the Steam Team is like replacing the Mane Six with Starlight Glimmer. It's not gonna happen, people! It's a stupid rumor that someone on Twitter spread because of course they wanted to, and if you can't be on Twitter without causing a ruckus among the fandom, why are you still a part of it?

On an unrelated subject; yes, I did see The Unlucky Tug's review on JBS - loaded with Mattel bashing and lamblasting because of course he does. My review with Mike will hopefully provide a corrective to the (frankly unfair) Mattel bashing.
