I know MLP’s main goal is to push the whole friendship thing, but there has to be a fine line between earning friendship and just accepting someone’s apology out of pure pity. Characters like Sunset and Starlight have actually worked to become better characters for the good of themselves and others, but then you have characters like Gloriosa, Juniper, Wallflower and Vignette who act like complete brats and are instantly forgiven with no further development for their characters beyond that point.
If you ask me, after Friendship Games, they should have just tried to explore more of the Shadow Five’s characters and their interactions with the Human Six/Seven. Hell, maybe even bring back the Dazzlings now that they’re powerless and do something with them. I’ve seen fanfics that take full advantage of this and it’s certainly more refreshing to see the girls just...being girls instead of “hey, there new female ‘antagonist’, we stop her, all forgiven, never seen again, more toys!!!”

There’s even the case where they’ve reformed an antagonist just because either they want to get rid of themor because people don’treallylike them. Caseand point: Diamond Tiara. First off, her song makes no sense as not once before Crusaders of the Lost Markwas she ever unhappy with the life she was living. She had a family, a loyal friend and was rich. When compared to Pacifica from Gravity Falls,her reformation worked better because she was actually being neglected and treated horribly. The whole thingwith Spoiled Rich just comes out of nowhere of “yo, she’s an asshole because her parents are.” Except Filthy Rich is the opposite of this and it’s moreor less coming across as moreof an excuse. If they had to reform
Diamond Tiara, it should have beenmoreout of regret for her own actions, not putting the blame on her mother who, once again, reeksof being written the way she was because “plot demands it” or “plot connivence” or “surprise twist” or whatever.

Also, we got to see another side of you (your character, that is) that we're not used to seeing, as well as you telling Matt off for yelling at Rach.

On a side-note, when you blew the whistle to get the lads' attention, it came out as Ringo's whistle sound, whereas when I blow it, it comes out as George's whistle sound. It makes a lot of sense for two reasons:
1. Since I'm American, I use George's whistle sound; and since you're an Aussie (which is closer to a Brit than us yanks are), you used Ringo's whistle sound
and 2. I kinda prefer George's whistle. Not that it has anything to do with it, but I just thought I'd say it

Now that you’ve made your points on why the Friendship Games failed, Zack, that got me thinking. That’s kind of how the Great Mess went as well. The songs were good, but where was the sporty rivalry or the main thing?
