Description
I wasn't fully happy with the first pass at this guy so I worked out some new lines with a better sense of who he is. He is a superHERO, not a villain. He has strong conservative values and he's proud of it. Awesome colors by my good manRelated content

Now this is interesting. A conservative superhero.

Though I consider myself a Liberal I'd really like to see character like this written up a heroic figure that just has some different social and political values. Just for the change of pace.

Yes, it'll make ideas more plain when exposed. That's why I made him.

Nice improvement.
I think this guy could be really cool and interesting to read in stories. Just can't fall into giving him overly bigoted views and dialogue.

Thanks. Any bigoted views are "overly" so he is who he is and what he is. I will attempt to keep him as heroic as possible in my writing, though. In the end I hope that most people have mixed feelings about him... like I do.

Well by "overly" I meant extreme. It stands to reason that if he is genuinely good and a hero at hear that he wouldn't have much hate in his heart for his fellow man, however a certain amount of ignorance or tradition based on his upbringing and whatnot only makes sense. I always admire when a creator attempts to write a character that is outside of their world in a an honest way. It can only stand to make you a better writer as you act through your characters and try to understand their motivations and empathize with them even if in real life you would disagree.

For me it really doesn't get much more extreme than wearing that accursed confederate flag...so...

The CSA flag is not necessarily a symbol of evil, and he reminds me a little of Jeb Shaw from a friend's novel - S.A. Bailey's The Lines We Cross.
Jeb is Texan, this guy seems more from Dixie.

He's from Georgia, and to me the Confederate Flag stands for evil. Jack Hafield here, doesn't see it that way.

I said doesn't necessarily... a lot of scumbags rally to it. And a lot of folks - not me - see it as rebellion against deeply encroaching laws - as far as what the CSA leadership told them.

Well, you can find scumbags anywhere. All I am going for is that the flag as a symbol is perceived differently by those who view it. Like a lot of things many people don't think that deeply or simply emphasize a part they like. All people who rally to this flag aren't scumbags, most just don't care that a part, and I argue the biggest part, is the enslaving and mistreatment of Black people is what that flag represents.
You know a guy said to me while we speaking about that flag he was wearing on his shirt, that," ...It represented a simpler time. A time when you sat on your porch and drank lemonade and the women wore frilly dresses and curtsied. A time when men were men and women were women... it was a whole different environment in the southern culture."
I told him it wasn't like that for Black people. We never spoke of it again. lol

I know. I was just stating I understand... not that I sympathize.
Like the scene in the Dukes of Hazzard movie...

The design is an improvement, but at first glance, I thought that he was a super villain. This is still a bad-ass design though.

Well, you can go REALLY wrong with a shotgun, but he's carrying an AR-15 rifle.

Thanks, Rod! I was too ambivalent in the first one, going between him being a superhero, or an anti-hero type. I settled for superhero and it helped the design. Also I like Agent Venom's design.
