Great rust!
It's a shame to let that kind of beauty rust in the wild, but at least, you can turn it in beautiful pics...

Hi, Ben...I think this old truck had a very long and fruitful life, clambering around the ranch and through the coastal hills, before finally being put out to pasture.

Thank you, Ulrich. I rather enjoy doing these local color collages occasionally...when one shot just won't do.

A VERY nice find, Yvette ! I feel a little bit location envy, as Herr Freud would have named it
What are your plans for the weekend, dear friend? Taking out, again ?

Hi, Urich...yes, a bit of a country drive is planned for this afternoon. I'm going to check my map for some other back roads I have not yet traveled. since I live so close to town now, Buzz and I both need to get out into the hills.

Wow, this takes me back... I have a vague memory of a truck similar to this behind the barn on my mom and dad's place when I was a boy, but I'm actually not sure. It was sooooo long ago.
Excellent shots - nice light and color and very tactile too

I believe this old truck had a very long lifetime of bumping along on these back hills.
Thank you, Richard.

I figure this ol' baby is from around 1924 from the shape of the cab...just sitting out in front of an old farmhouse (don't ya just love taking the back roads!)

I wonder if the 2000 models would last nearly as long as these old babies.
Thanks Richard...it's nice to have you back around.

Thanks, Mark...I'm glad you like it.
I don't know if you can tell in the link, but it once had a wooden roof (very rotted away).

It's funny, because most of the photos I have seen for old Model T's have fabric tops. I wonder if this was originally covered in fabric, or if the wooden roof was added on later. hmmm.....

It definitely saw long years of service as a ranch truck, before finally being put out to pasture.
