One half of my entry for *kittystavern 's contest to redesign her character, Alexis.So this is the character sheet half. I plan to do a more finished picture eventually, but this is just a clearer shot of the outfit and technical aspects of things (weapon, close-ups of smaller outfit details, etc.). The fabric patterns for the obi and the top shirt are from ~flutterstock (the deviation is "Gemstone Silks")--I used the butterfly one and then used a paintbrush on the hue setting with black and went over it. The shirt is the pink flower one with a black hue paintbrush, then I used the burn tool on a low setting. I thought I'd share. Anyway, if you're unclear on what color swatch belongs to which part of the outfit/character, please ask.
I'm quite happy with this design. I know the picture is big, but I didn't want to lose any details or any of my notes. I'm so proud of this. ^^
The second half will come soon (hopefully), *kittystavern ! I hope you like her.

Awe, this is cute XD because of this cool design I went to check out the contest. XD It makes me wanna join too! Go us!! XD Though I don't know id I;ll be as creative as this, and I don't know much about geisha clothing. My favorite part of the costume has got to be the tassle strings handing from her obi, wahhhhh~ it's cute!! I love her shoes too, though they have to hurt like a monkey's uncle XD!

Man, this is such a cool design! Lots of fun details. I like how you draw her face too, it's very pretty and, uh, Asian. lol I'm excited to see a finished piece of this design! Good luck in the contest, too.
