Download for more details, if you like!Whew, this one was somewhat of a trial! I had a lot of trouble with the leaves around Evie, so I kept getting worn out working on this. I finally sat down and finished it today, though!
So, just a piece of Evanil sitting in a tree. I'd been wanting to do a piece like this for a while, but I just recently went through with it. It was good practice for lighting and atmospheric perspective!
Plus I'd recently created an outfit for Evie during the second era. I've never tried doing armor that might have come from Valenwood, so I enjoyed trying my hand at that.

Aw, thanks! Um, I painted some of them by hand but then I got fed up and made a brush, then I painted details onto the flat leaves from the brush. lol

I think the sun speckles on her clothes would be a little brighter though.

I thought about havin' them brighter, but there's not supposed to be a ton of light getting through. ...Of course, now that I look at it, I realize that light would be coming down at a different angle entirely. lol Anyway, thank you for the comment! I appreciate the input either way, and I'll keep it in mind in future pieces.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I have to admit that my favorite part of the picture is the shadowing and lighting of the piece. Her armor is cool too! How long did this piece take you if I may ask? Thank you for sharing this!

Leaf armor is greatest! I like the composition the most. In thumbnail you can see how she is surrounded by light from behind, but hidden in the shadow between branches. Tree texture is beautifully rich in values. And the leaves are realistic to a point where it is pleasant and not tiring. Above that: hair, this amazing part of picutre where material is transparent due light from behind and light spots on Evie.
Overall it's just great.

Is Evanil sitting on a branch just to pass time, or perhaps to rob the unsuspecting travelers below? regardless, this is absolutely wonderful and i like your take on Valenwood's variation of Elvish armor

I MADE A BRUSH lolol
I had painted them all by hand at first and it made me want to cry, so I came back and made a brush, then I went back in and painted on top of those. Much less strenuous.
