so I made a mistake here. I had an idea of what I wanted to do and just got lost in it. an hour or so later I was consumed with fixing the multitude of drawing mistakes that I had here. that's when I had to stop myself. that's not what this exercise is about. it's not about perfection. it's not about getting anal with what you put down here. if I really liked what I was doing here and wanted to refine it....well, I had to do that on my own time. not here.

if anyone one out there doesn't get what I'm saying here....and without going on and on about it....I'll put it this way. out of my experience ...when you worry about perfection, one tends to easily go down the road of not doing anything at all. it may not happen on this drawing ...but eventually one puts such a high standard on their personal expectations that can can't possibly keep it going on a daily basis and they stop drawing all together.

the DSC is counter to that. it's about drawing daily and being free of those expectations.....and eventually getting better from producing a large quantity of work....not agonizing over one piece.

today I remembered that and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow.
