Description
my Blob design for Wolverine and the X-men.this was one of the earlier designs done in production. most people i've seen do their take on this character, seem to draw him more strong that fat.....and i wanted to really push the fat angle. and given that he was a baddie, i wanted to make him fat AND disgusting.Chuck Patton , the supervising director at the time, saw that as well, and let me push this design as much as i wanted too.

I liked the Blob. He was actually pretty sympathetic when it came to his friend Unus The Untouchable's death in the comics. Blob was the only one could could get past his force fields to bring him food when Unus' powers went out of control.

Man, Wolverine and the X-Men ended wayy too soon when it was just gettin good. Oh well
Anyways, this is, IMO, the best design for the Blob in an X-Men series thus far. The 90s series seemed to give him a smoother appearance and the Evo series had a more muscular physique. You managed to make him look like what his namesake should imply; from the detail of cellulite, his extra chins, and the expression on his face, it's a pretty good take on him
