I love these.
I really didnt like how he looked in the one that premired on WB. Evolution I think... Something was lost about him.
I love the way he looks in the Wolverine X-men one though, you captured his essence excellently, and since theres only like one episode with him in it thus far, I keep watching it over and over. Seriously, this is fabulous. I was wanting some art of him in the Wolverine style.
Again wonderful.
If he was real...I would jump him and beg him to stay with me forever. XD Ha ha...

I must say your style is very interesting as well as your interpretation of Nightcrawler. When i first watched episode six i was in love with his character! I'm sure this doesn't mean much coming from a little 13-year-old swamp hick like me, but that's probably the best version of Nightcrawler I've seen. I haven't had the resources to read any of the original comics, but between Evolution and the live films (which in my opinion mutilated his character) this is my favorite. I'm a huge Kurt fan, and I can't express how grateful I am that people like you put so much effort into creating a nice, well thought out character. I can't say it enough, but thank you. I love your style and I feel very lucky to have come across you here on DA. Yeah, I'll just shut up now.

have you heard of the "Essentials" line from Marvel?
they reprint a whole lot of classic stuff in B&W for real cheap! we're talkin' about a phone book thickness of comic goodness for about 15 bucks. probably cheaper on the internet, too!

You did such a fabulous job on these! Wolvie and the Xmen has the best screen version of Nightcrawler I've seen yet(Second being Pryde of the X-men Nightcrawler)! Watching him in this series reminds me of the good ol' Excalibur days :3 Thank you thank you thank you for making screen Wagner as awesome as old comic Wagner

most people working in animation don't really get to see any feed back from all the hard work they put in these shows you all enjoy. to know that all you crazy NC fans love this design so much really makes all that hard work pay off.

i have quite a few more Nightcrawler drawings that i did for the show's model pack that i could still post.....but i have to find them and dig 'em out first......so you don't have to pester me too much.
i also like the more finished look of that con sketch i did of him...so i may do one more of those and give it away here to one of you many NC fans out there....i just gotta figure out how i'm going to do that, so just wait and see i guess....

Hm... Maybe you could hold a contest for that? I'm sure it'd get lots of entries because Nightcrawler has a heck of a lot of fans who'd want your art. O_O Scary, I know.
Oh yeah, I took a look at your gallery and I must say, your art is incredible. They style is really unique so I might have to take lessons from you sometime. ^^ (I'm too suck in the anime style to get anything right when I try to draw anything comic-related).

a contest is what i have in mind. i'm thinking of making a general announcement like in a journal entry, to let anyone who "watches" me to know when i'll post the sketch. then anyone who responds in a given time will be entered into a drawing of sorts.
right now i think that's the best way....
BTW, it's nice that you find my style unique enough to dig. i wouldn't worry about being stuck in anime too much...all the greats started aping a particular style, then once you kinda realize you're in that rut, start emulating other people or styles you like.
that's really the first step in getting out of that rut. you're pretty talented for your age so i don't think you'll have a problem.

Have you watched a lot of Nightcrawler episodes in Wolverine and the x-men ? Because the sketches look like they are straight from the show.

i've only seen the first three episodes of the season....and that was when we gave a presentation last summer at SDCC.
i don't think NC was in any of those...at least i don't remember. they only recently started showing them in the states, and i haven't caught any of them.
i'm glad you think they are real close....but remember the show comes straight from the sketches, not the other way around.

Love it! You did a really good job of really bringing his personality into the show! All the other X-Men TV shows changed up his personality to fit their needs but this feels really true to his original comic-self.

Ok, I realized just recently that it was indeed YOU, sir, who's responsible for those amazing revamps of the X-Men we all know, love, and grew up with.
I was watching the show a while back thinking, "Man, who was the character designer? I'd like to meet this guy- he did a bang-up job!" Seems the dA gods were in my favor! Hats of to you

I like this Nitecrawler Better than the Xmen :Evolution concept they came up with, mostly because I didn't like the fact that they hid his uniqueness.
