There were plans for a sequel, but that never went through, instead we got the war-based semi-sequel Total Carnage, but still a good game.
This game has yet to get a full-fledged sequel.
This game and it's characters are most likely owned by Warner Bros. as of 2009 [link]
The exclamation marks on the message are the japanese "！" instead of the usual "!".
