By popular demand (though most likelly won't be as big as the last one), I give to you, the origin of Robin Beyond...Jack Drake, grandson to former Robin Tim Drake, never knew his family involved legacy. But when he came across the medical journals of Leslie Thompkins, Jack discovered the truth: his grandfather was Robin, the Boy Wonder!
Discovering that Tim used to be the ward of Bruce Wayne, Jack snuck into Wayne Manor only to be stopped by Batman, Terry McGinnis. Figuring that the young man came from Terry's own way of life (and thinking it could turn his life around the way being Batman changed him), Terry converted a spare Batman costume into that of Robin, the Boy Wonder of Tomarrow.
However, when Bruce Wayne gets word of a new Robin in Gotham, he is not pleased. In fact, he hates the idea. And he's not alone...Tim Drake forbids Jack to be Robin. But when did a Robin ever actually listen to authority?
Nevertheless, the new Dynamic Duo defend Gotham with all their hearts, all the while, trying to prove themselves as the heroes they know they are.

Fun idea, though I would have thought Terry's little brother Matt (also being a son of Bruce Wayne thanks to Amanda Waller's little project) might have something to say about who gets to be Robin!

Everyone was really hoping that I would have gone with Matt, but logically, it just wouldn't have worked out.
First of all, my Season 4 takes place almost immediatly after season 3, which means Matt would have had to leap straight into the costume, and frankly, he's never been anything more then a character in distress, not quite able to be the partner Terry needs.
Second, Matt is...what...about 8 years old in the show? I think he might be a tad bit too young for the role.
Finally, Robin is a legacy, not a right. If Matt is going to one day take up a title, it would be as the next Batman. Whoever Robin is, it had to be a Grayson or a Drake.

i still think matt mcguinness deserves a title. i was thinking robin, but jack drake sounds like a cool idea too. i guess matt will have to be batboy, lol.

Thanks for the input. ^_^ Before I even started these Batman Beyond sketches, I was totally planning on making Matt into Robin. But then, considering his lack of fighting experience, and the threat of Terry's little brother knowing Terry's secret ID, creating Jack seemed like the best way to go.

Not bad. I like it. The only thing i didn't like was the green for the robin signal. Yellow or Red maybe. But thats just a personal oppion. I still like it thoe. I kinda got the same kind of consept for my fanfics. Check them out some time if you like.

Thanks for the input. I just wanted to try and keep the colors the same, and green and red always seemed like a color, Robin Circus color. But to each, their own.
