Description
this is steven.he is homeless.
he has the kindest most radiant soul you can imagine.
he loves seattle, LA and chicago.
he dislikes san diego.
he reads anne rice, adores michelangelo and
likes to visit museums.
(he had me at michelangelo).
he says most everyone is nice to him
and only about 1 in 100 people
are assholes.
that's not too shoddy.
stories.
sit down with someone like steve
and swap stories.
it will change who you are.
* the white outline around his head is
not due to treatment. it's just the way
the gameworks awning looks framed
around his head.
or maybe he's an angel..? hahaa..
FULL-VIEW, for me.

it is nice, and the fund idea is nice too, and in a way i'm jealous of the transient, un-tied lifestyle that steven surely enjoys.
something that i don't really understand though.
it's not a hateful or antagonistic question, just trying to grasp the reasons behind choosing such a lifestyle (or what happens in life that leaves one without another choice).
i'm all for tramping and living outside the confines of corporate, payroll-driven society...but why beg? i'm always more inclined to give funds to the people who offer some kind of goods, service or entertainment...no matter how small or trivial. sing me a song, hand me a sticker, read a passage from a book aloud...to me it shows a work ethic, even if it is a non-conformist one.
that said, i appreciate that you've used this portrait to simultaneously humanize and romanticize this gentleman. beautifully done.

This picture is truly beatiful, the expression just gives out his true features. you can see form his smile how his heart is filled with such kidness. It is sad to see people like him homeless. I am just inlove with this picture and i really am tocuhed by your kidness. very few people in this coumminty have i found who cared to share something like this or even cared to make a diffrence. I just feel the most satisfaction when i help someone and im sure u are too . All great deeds dont go unacounted for. God bless u

Not everyone on earth got a place to live, a place to stay on a cold winter night.
I wish i could give some money but to the fact that im poor.
Got no bucks, and most of all i'm only 13 i cant help much.
But what i can is send my love over.. *swapping love*
Thats some people actually stand up to them and starts argue with
homeless people while they got a whole gang to back them up
the homeless people dont have that.
And now i've read that most of the homeless people on
this earth,...read. Thats an amazing thing.
I would suggest you to see "saw"
it is a very loud film that opens your eyes,
on what you got in life. But in a very cruel way.

i love that you are only 13 but still you feel a sense
of wanting to help, of wanting to try
and make things better for others.
that desire in you.. i hope it never dies but just
keeps blooming and blooming and blooming.
thanks so much dear for the smile.

Wonderful capture! The story is great too. You can see light in his eyes.. that's great. You can see hope in his eyes. This is one of the best portraits with one of the most wondeful stories I've seen on DA
A lot of people think that it's quite common to have a house. They don't even think about the fact that there are thousand of people who don't have a house.
The steven-fund is a great idea! It's great that there are still people who care about other people
