The Sign of the two turns to one
No savior up on high
The promised euphoria is gone
So hell is life and death

Feel the breath inside your mind,
pervades your soul
Hear the voices cry, through the nether
Your eyes turn inside out; you're all alone now
Feel your heart explode, piece by piece

Pain, suffering just do it,
death is the blessing you seek
Your soul will be free,
Life is an endless torture,
for the mindless and weak
You're killing yourself

Felt like doing another book scene, and this one in particular was inspired by a song called "The Sign" by the best group you've never heard of, Nocturnal Rites.

This would be the scene near the beginning of Firewing right after the earthquake when Griffin is trapped in the cave about to go into the Underworld of Camazotz.

And I remembered to do Griffin's wings the right color this time ^^

This was originally animated as well, somewhat like my earlier one Afterlife, but twice as big and it actually caused my computer to crash.... so I had to go with a still. Worked fine though

Oh! And I figured out how to make Zotz's eyes "Blaze blacker than any night"... just make them look like an eclipse! ^^

This design of Griffin ended up kinda being a mix of =tuftedpuffin 's, *luna1502 's, and mine, so bits of his style I guess are © their respective owner.
