Description
Original image: [link]And in my (unofficial) series of interpretating the other dragons from the Dragon Manual, we have now come to the Changewing.
In the movie we didn't get anything info about it besides it's picture and the fact that it spits acid instead of fire. So, I took the liberty of coming up with additional details myself
This forest dwelling dragon, despite it's small size, is not to be taken lightly. It's acid will burn you just as badly as a Nightmares fire, and it has a nasty set of teeth to boot.
Because it's wings don't have joints, it cannot fly like a typical dragon. Instead it uses them to glide from tree to tree, much like a flying squirrel. However, in strong winds, it can glide for a considerable amount of time should it venture outside of the forest.
The Changewing's most distinguishable feature is no doubt it's incredible ability to blend into it's surroundings at will. It can hide itself so well, that it is almost impossible to separate it from the surrounding vegetation. Only it's bright blue eyes will remain visible.

Eh, well. I did this series before we got an official look for these dragons in the Book of Dragons short. This is just my interpretation of its picture in the Manual

"The changewing, specifically evolved to resemble leaves and tree stumps." Were the legs made to resemble tree stumps deliberately, or is that how they look in the dragon manual? Nicejob by the way

If you check the image link in the description, you'll see what it looks like in the Manual c: And, yeah, I think they look pretty root like there, so I drew them like that as well

It's not mine though, it's actually from the movie How to Train Your Dragon

But, did you upload them or you draw them?

Uh, both, but the Changewing species isn't mine. It was invented by the people who made the movie How to Train Your Dragon, and in the movie we saw it as a drawing for a 'Dragon Manual'.
It's all there in the description And same goes for all the other dragons I have done like this

That is actually just a paper texture I got from Google c: I put that on top of all my layers in Photoshop, and set the layer mode to 'multiply'

Hee hee! I love your take on this one!
And whoa, yeah, he does look like he could hide well in the woods! His wood-rot color, his leafy dorsal fins, his tree-root looking digits.
Bawww, I like the sketch of it all the way to the right, just below the "very curious"....
Awesome!

I always liked it's fancy design And now there's only the Whispering Death, Skrill and Scauldrun left
Thanks!
