Phew! Done in (approximately) 7 hours |D

Decided in bed yesterday that I'd make a refsheet of my interpretation of the Timberjack. Mostly just for myself, to sort of figure out how its design would work c:
To be honest, I kinda like it xD

And if something's unclear (like if you can't read my handwriting xP ) just ask (:

"This gigantic creature has razor sharp wings that can slice through full grown trees."

The paper texture was found on Google

I think I've figured out an explanation for the limb arrangement. This dragon's ancestors originally had the classic six-limb body plan (four legs and two wings). Then somewhere down the line, they lost their hind legs, leaving the original wings and modified "arms". What looks like a really short body is actually just the torso. I bet if we took an X-ray of this thing, we'd see the remnants of the pelvic girdle somewhere along the tail, like in some snakes and whales.

Don't *quite* know how you managed to get that insect-dragon-mutant thing to look friendly, but dammit you did, particularly in the picture of it standing up on its...legs? wings? claws? =S

Very clever interpretation, loving it!

*lol* maybe it's because I didn't give it a horrible underbite with teeth sticking out everywhere xD

Thank you!

Haha! I love it! It's a really interesting design! The placement of the legs as shown in the belly angle make me think of some kind of insect.... like a dragonfly. (No pun intended. ) Heh, and I like the shot of it just standing there.... with its big mushy single finger-pads for standing on.... it's almost like a spider! XD

This is awesome.

Heh, the silhouette from the Manual didn't give me much to work with, but it certainly looked interesting enough with four "legs" growing out from the same place
*lol* dragonfly
That's probaly a lot of weight on those four claws, but thankfully it also has it's tail to lean on

Contraltissimo In reply to Iceway [2011-02-23 01:52:25 +0000 UTC]

Heh, that's true.

But still, if its legs are sturdy enough to slice through full-grown trees, I suppose that's gotta count for a little extra strength to carry all that weight....

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Iceway In reply to The-true-MaCK [2011-02-21 22:23:52 +0000 UTC]

That was just a paper texture i found on Google which I put above all my other layers, and set the mode to 'multiply' so it would be see-through c:
