Absolutely wonderful

Thank you indeed! waves2 final transform gave the overall shape, but the patchiness in the pattern needed a little work to get right

The problem is that rendering a fractal to fit 100x100cm takes for ever

This was only going to take under 6 hours, but something went wrong. My rendering PC's dying...

On that one, 4GB, but it only sees about 3.5.

Yes my OS and stuff eats up 0.5 GB too but I only have 1

Ah yes, definitely on the low side. What's the maximum capacity per slot, and how many slots? I actually managed to get 4 x 1GB cards, for just under €19 apiece, that were actually recommended in the motherboard manual!

250 per slot and I have 4 slots
I intended to buy a new pc end of this year or just after christmas depending on the offers but now my camera broke and the repair would be very expensive so I have to buy a new camera first

My goodness, on first sight I thought you'd decided to take up painting! Smooth, subtle translucency hinting at other times and other places.
Sublime.

Absolutely gorgeous, Ian. I love that it looks like an oil painting and yet is unmistakably fractal.

A dull autumn day. The rich colours are spoiled by the rotting leaves. It's a walk on a windy afternoon.
It's England for me!

They are just turning here. I live opposite to a park and some trees are golden.
In town there are small ornamental bushes that are crimson.
It's the only consolation for losing the summer.

Is this on a non-black background? I see one of the great unexplored areas of flam3 being non-black explorations...nice work.

It is indeed - white, in fact. Only on application of a waves2 final transform did the transparency element come into play.
