I have paired your beautiful fractal with a poem by W. S. Di Piero in my journal - [link]
If you would prefer that I don't include it, please let me know.

I like this piece. It is very messy and undefined, with enough detail to suggest a pattern but with enough multicolored mixing to look like a gorgeous abstract painting. Good job!

Your description is exactly what I hoped came through A resemblance to traditional abstracts with a residue of its fractal origin.

Turner, eat your heart out! Love it!

Perhaps a little tweaking of the colours will get closer still

Ah, Ian this exceptional. A superb painterly abstract. I can't stop looking at it.

Large print, maybe?...please.

But if you'd prefer it here, I'll be happy to upload. I'm also including it in a planned 2010 calendar 'Abstracts'

Thanks for the link...it seems an interesting site...so many choices to deplete my funds .

It seems to be geared more towards the commercial, which is exactly what I was after. Still haven't sold a print yet, though

Feels like the weather here at present

You must be very happy with this, all yr techniques working to create Turneresque impressionism. Amazing.

I am indeed happy with this, the best of its kind so far IMO. What's especially gratifying is that the detail goes all the way down (click top left for preview at 6000 x 6000px): [link]

I'd almost given up as the first renders were blocky at high-res, then came that duh! moment in which I realised how simple it was to fix

Yes, see what you mean. Xlnt!

Of course there are how questions begging here. I'm just starting into hirez print territory, so prepare to be boarded

Earthy chaos. This is like land meeting the primeval sea.

I really like the textural elements and the melding of colors.

Wow, yeah, man!

I can't really appreciate that fact all that much, as I don't use Apo, but still. It interests me, nonetheless.

Totally understand, but I just wanted to emphasise that it wasn't layered

I can't tell. Is it composite or a very clever Apo render?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

IDeviant In reply to winklepickers [2009-04-13 18:14:23 +0000 UTC]

I should remember to state for these - single Apo render using one of my 'secret' techniques
