Some fractals look great as a tumbnail, and disappointing upon fullview. Yours are the exact opposite. I always make sure to fullview them even if the thumb doesn't really catch my eye.

In this one, I love the barbed-wire-esque distortions in the bright lines. Looks like someone is trying hard to keep us out of that extra half dimension... or perhaps keep something else in.

I've noticed that too I'm happy mine fall into the other category! I got that odd effect using what I term indirect mixed variation substitution, that is linking to a transform of three types of 'wiggle'-inducers (all set to low wiggle via their variables) whose total weight adds to 1.
