Oddly enough, I don't thing there's a tutorial for disc-julians. Basic idea:
- xform #1 julian (much to be gained by adjusting the variables)
- xform #2 disc, much higher weight (rotate both xform and post)
- final xform polar, to render the disc orthogonal
