I like what you've been doing with glynnia.
I do wish the julian half had variables. Have you tried using a little pre-spherical on your glynnia transform.

Thanks! I don't actually have pre_spherical (hint, hint!), but it sounds like a useful tool for the box. I always felt that half of glynnia had a julia feel to it (I gather that Glynn sets are just Julia sets using half-powers of z). So what's the other half? Seems like split variations are all the rage!

Since it's supposed to turn everything inside out (example, using it on a linear transform will make it like spherical) but I think it's like rotating the PX 180 degrees. I could be wrong.
Meckie made a good split variation, though, it's pretty one sided.

Thanks for that! I'll need to re-jig my plugins as I'm nudging the 114 limit that my system can handle. Meckie's variation - do you mean flux or was there another? Flux certainly has julia properties and works best when duplicated and post-flipped.
