I love these pieces that are basically texture fields. I also like how you can give us so many variations on it--like the way the bright lines become somehow "stringier" as I get to the bottom of the image. Great job.

Just a tiny tweak to a basic gnarl and the pattern extended to this!

I remember sinking in a swimming pool once, when I was little. It was a small pool in someone's back garden but I don't remember who's garden or where it was. It was a bright sunny day. As I sank, I looked up and saw the ripples glistening from below. I don't remember trying to breathe, wanting to do even thinking about it. I remember that it was the most calm I have ever felt in my life. It was a strange and beautiful experience, and this brings it right back.

Sounds exactly like my own experience, except mine was in the sea Ah, the resilience of childhood!

I'm sure this was not your intention with this piece but I'm going to show the pool company this image because the top portion is the exact color we want the bottom of the pool to be .
I want to dive right in, damn the risk of drowning.

Well, if you're a confident swimmer...

Wow, you captured the essence of water perfectly! I imagine looking down at a swimming pool, though, not drowning.

I think I've seen too many documentaries involving sea-diving! Plus having almost drowned myself some 35 years ago

*dives in* *splashes around a bit* Ian, just want I needed! Is simply refreshing! So crisp and blue! reminds of days I used to love when younger, Of course tho - I was swimming - not drowning...
