I really enjoy the view you've chosen to display this fractal, it has a real sense of perspective depth. Great light at the top of the image adds to the 3Dness.

I've explored this kind of crop before a couple in this gallery and it's actually inspired by the circular projection screen used by Pink Floyd in their 1994 P.U.L.S.E. tour [link]

Started with the pure maths stuff then began adding bits - haven't explored the differences in the 3 versions yet!
