Description
It's finally finished.I hope you enjoy it, if anything is unclear, please feel free to leave a comment, I will try to elaborate. I'm prettysure everything is clear, but I made the hat, so it might not be clear to everyone.
Here's mine!
Part One
Edit: The reason I have not put what the seam allowance values, is simply because the fabric has to fit snugly against the cardboard base. I don't want to put a set amount, and have wrinkly hats out there. Thicker fabrics will fit differently than thing ones. So, if you make the hat, sew it to make it as snug as possible to the base, and then cut off the surplus, leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance.
**If you use this tutorial to make your own hat, please have the courtesy of putting a link back to my tutorial, and leave a comment here with a link to your deviation so that I can see your masterpiece!!

I just started making it ! I also used another top hat tutorial to cut out of the cardboard. I'm going to buy the fabric today!!^^
Actually, I'm can't speak english fluently so I didn't understand everything in your tutorial >_<...Can you quickly re-explain the step 4?(I don't really understand how to put the hat's side to glue it) It'd really help! Sorry, I'll have to improve my english..!

OMGG!!!! You just made my day!!!! I've been wanting to do my own hat for a while but I've been too chicken to try it XD. Now, once I have time I SHALL!!!
Quick tip, if you don't want to use ribbon to keep it on your head, try adding a small hair comb to the liner. I have a mini top hat that I had custom made that has a small comb. It works REALLY well to keep it on PLUS it boggles people's minds when they see no way of keeping the thing on my head lolz. It's fun!

I tried a comb, but because I made my hat such a weird size, it doesn't hold on properly. But yeah, a comb is usually a good idea.
Glad you liked the tutorial!

Thank you!

i know what you mean about them looking homemade, mine look proffesional.... until the top part where it connects to the body of the hat, lol. it never seems to fit perfectly! but i'll use that little bit in the tut to spruce up my future hats
