in the 1940's the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) was looking for a rifle to equip their operative agents they needed a performing gun with a great flexibilty but capable of being carried for paratroopers so a small craftsman proposed a humble modification of the Lee Enfield No.4 the OSS was impressed the weapon was simple but the folding stock was a brilliant idea the craftsman was a young Recruit of the British ParΓ he was half russian he was Igor Kutuzov Senior grandfather of Igor Kutuzov(this story isn't obviously true but part of my alternate universe)

but M1 is semi auto instead enfielnd is "just" Bolt action... but it's one of the fastest bolt action rifle of WWII and also is well known that semi auto rifles have less precision than bolt action ones...

i personally prefer semi auto due to my not perfet aim and my happy trigger...

Well, full auto for me. I pull the trigger so it does a burst instead and if I need full auto I don't have to take time to switch fire modes.

well for full auto you need the M-14 if you want a battle rifle...
or you have to swithc to an AR or an SMG...
or as me to a LMG...

Interesting thought for a Lee Enfield rifle, giving it a collapsible butt stock and pistol grip. Of course, I'll accept that artistic liberties were used in this, since I'm not quite in agreement with those two features myself.

yes based exactly on the same principles but this one uses .303 british not the puny tranquilizer rounds... .303 can send to sleep too... but forever...
