another fact is that the bolter rounds are diamond pointed
bolter = a.k.a the nightmare of tanks (because its explotes in a certain distance of the hull)

it's a round that it's practially a casing for an inner penetrator... when you fired it the outer shell of the round fall apart as it leave the barrel and the penetrator continue it's path to hit the target with incredible penetration capabilities... [link]

Doesn't seem very economic for such a gyrojet assault rifle to have so few rounds in one mag.

If you're referring to the bolter as in the boltgun from Warhammer 40,000 (which this does look like), it's a .75cal gyrojet. The only round that can equate to an actual grenade is the metal storm frag shell, which is an airburst round. The wiki confirms it here [link]
