Finally finished! I have to say, I'm pretty proud with the result.The subject may not be original, but I am pretty sure I haven't seen anyone else draw this pose.
Total time: 23 hours
12 inches by 10 inches
Tools: HB mechanical pencil for the majority, 4H, F, 2B, 4B, and 6B. Personally made tortillon for blending. Erasers.

Wow, I absolutly love this!! It really, really brightened my day seeing this drawing of my favorite genius!! At first glance I thought this was photography ... but then I remembered something important- Einstin has been dead for QUITE a while. xDD The mustache bothers me a little bit, though. It looks as if it's made out of sweater. xD Unless he made his sweater out of mustach hair. But anyway, he looks like one of those old men that by just looking at them or hearing their voice can make you smile, doesn't he?

thanks! It just made my day that someone enjoys my work! I've done this a while ago, unfortunately I haven't done much drawing since, I've been busy with work, school, and photography. I've been meaning to come back to this and touch up on it some more, the hair and mustache was the first time I tried a new technique, I've definitely got more to learn.

Ohhh, I love the detail in the sweater. His mustache is really cool, too. It doesn't quite look like hair, almost reminds me of the texture of the sweater. I like that, though

aww don't be. I started drawing years ago, and when I saw some of the amazing pencil artists I felt the same way. Just turn it into hard work and you'll get good fast.
The main step is making yourself willing to spend more than 20 hours on one work, going slowly inch by inch. Once you can cross that patience barrier, the rest is easy. Even I'm having trouble committing so much time to one thing again since this drawing.
