Description
Day 7 of my challenge, the goal is to submit a new infrared picture every day for the whole summer.Taken with my new infrared ZS6, possibly the best handling I've gotten out of any IR point and shoot, better even than the older DSLRs.
Interested in learning about infrared? Take a look at my website kolarivision.com/

How do you get color in the infrared photography?

If using a 720nm filter, the IR effect registers mostly on the camera's red pixels, making it red. I then use photoshop to swap the red with blue for the blue sky. I have a tutorial for the process I use here: [link]

you need to get an infrared filter, or get the camera converted.

Nicely done, where did you source the new IR hot mirror from? I've been wanting to convert one of my old cameras for a while, just cant find a suitable IR filter

it looks like a hallucination or where someone would go for a "happy place". It looks so....surreal...in a good way, though. You must have a real eye for photography.

I would have liked to watch a short movie made like this, for example. Nice pic! The trees look like it's cherry blossom time
