Description This is the cover for The Rifter #56. The art itself is based on a fan supplement in the Rifter set in the Rifts/After the Bomb setting known as Mutants in Orbit.
Following Earth's near destruction, the orbital colonies were cut off and isolated from the planet and now survive on their own againt each other and the occasional alien invader. Many of the citizens are mutant animals, like the human/lion hybrid seen here.
After The Bomb is the descendant of the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles role-playing game, thus the mutant animals theme.
This is the first book cover I've ever done. Let me know what you think.
To buy the Rifter 56, which is chock full of goodies, check out the link below. It is at role-playing game stores nationwide and available from Palladium Books online store.

I play rifts and I am the gamemaster for robotech, So as a fan I am telling you that this is THE BEST work I have seen. BTW I have actually run from these creatures. Tough and nasty. As for my character well he is a cyberwolf. A werewolf that was given the powers of a technojack. And he is special forces. But this means that the GM ussually send the heavy stuff my way. The price of living. Also my comrades do not now about the werewolf part.

I wrote the upcoming Robotech: The New Generation sourcebook, which should be out in a few weeks. I also co-wrote the Nightbane Survival Guide and will be doing at least two more Robotech books I believe. Let me know what you think of the New Generation when you get it.

I have it and it is great. However the destroids section is rather short. How about the MASAMUNE. Can you make something like it.

I think you're referring to an older book. New Generation is at the printer, but should ship this week. [link]

The Masamune was sdestroid based on the veritech/valkarye. however it was never used. It is in the internet on different sites. with background history and specs. check it out.

Almost sounds like some of the battletech variants that were out there. I'll check it out. Thanks!

You welcome. But it is not battletech. try checking the sites for ROBOTECH RPG. It is found usually in the first robotech war, destroid section.

Forgot to say the bakground/atmosphere also feels like Omega, near the Afterlife from Mass Effect 2 heh...

This is very very nice.
Even gives me a Mass Effect feeling to it.

The guy on the left makes me feel like it's Shepard in his N7-like armor and pistol.
The girl next to him as one of the Citadel girls due to how her outfit look.
And the rest on the right feels very Mercenary Salarians-like.

Like this very much.
