Orange looks way better than the actual disgusting yellow with greenish-brownish-black that Nintendo made.
I always thought of Dragon-Type as being symbolized by the color orange.

Haha I agree! The official Dragon TCG color is awful...I THINK they were trying for an aged golden color, but it ended up just as you described: a greenish, yellowish, brownish black.

The Dragon card background color stinks as well.
It looks too much like the Dark-type background; black, but with that gross greenish-brown tinge as with the energy...

I think the Energy symbol looks much better than the background color! The symbol at least KINDA looks golden.
To be honest, I dislike the Fairy-type background color, too. It looks too out of place when compared to other types...it's much deeper a color. I would've gone with a lighter shade of pink, which would've worked with the existing Fairy-types. The only Fairy-type the deep, harsh pink really works for is Xerneas.

Yep -- did so the day the symbol was released. Haven't had time to update each card, though...just the Energy and the one with all of the type symbols!

Speaking of the Pokemon TCG: I had this idea come to me. Should Black & White reintroduce them, there should new rulings for "Baby Pokemon." 1) You can play Baby Pokemon from your hand onto the field, but for Trainer cards, it has to specify "Baby Pokemon." 2) At any time during your turn, you may put a Basic Pokemon card on top of a Baby Pokemon (as long as the Basic Pokemon matches the Pokemon shown on the top left corner of the Baby Pokemon card), but the Basic Pokemon will not be treated as an Evolved Pokemon.

Interesting, but I don't think I'd see the point of not treating the Basic as an Evolved Pokémon. At that point, why wouldn't you just play the Baby and Basic separately? Unless there is a benefit, it makes more sense to just lay down a Basic instead of playing one on top of a Baby.

Although I'm not sure that it's a bad symbol just because not all dragons have wings -- it's still very draconic-looking. Not all grass Pokémon have leaves on their bodies, eh?

Hm...I can see the resemblance with Aerodactyl's wings. Then again, I've heard people say they want Aerodactyl to be a dragon-type Pokémon, so...
