But it MIGHT'VE been wise to add that you had to invert the colors before you set it to black and white.

But before you try it--invert the colors. You have to or it won't work. Unless you have Windows 98 or less.

With newer computers (When I made this, I was using Windows 98 xD) you have to invert the colors first. It works for me.

By the way, with the eraser trick, black has to by the foreground colour, and the lineart colour has to be the background colour.

Your scanner/camera probably made the picture to dark. Check if your scanning/camera program has something that makes your picture brighter :/

hmm, i follow your instructions and the page becomes completely black and will stay black every time on evrey picture. What am i doing wrong?

It seems tht your very brave by challanging the limits of software tht offers limited power (and shipped with windows...lol), you obviously are very talented enough to have such Patients and accuracy to execute such project! While us lazy ppl are photo shopping...(shopping?) here, and open canvas there... you are the real player!
