“I did good.”

You were staring at the now ‘repaired’ wall, ignoring the dripping cement and misplaced bricks as you peeled off the gloves which were now also covered in wet cement. To be honest, rebuilding wasn’t all that hard; all you had to do was pile bricks. The time consuming part was the cleaning of the ashes and the removal of the now broken kitchen appliances.

Since it was already midnight, Master Ciel should be asleep by now along with everyone else. You preferred to call him Ciel instead, Master sounds too formal for your liking. On the topic of everyone else; everyone else had have dinner, except for you, but an extremely sweet Finny had given you a sponge cake with a delicious cream filling. The cake most likely made by Sebastian, but as much as you value your pride, you won’t give up food, especially when you’re hungry. And thus, the cake was consumed.

You headed back to your room, candle in front of you, illumining little light as you walked down the dark hallways. Going to bed at this time wasn’t alien to you, and the feeling of everyone being asleep except for you always feels strangely satisfying.

As you walked on, you noticed that a door was open, quickly identifying the room as Sebastian’s. You knew the butler worked late, knowing, from your own experience, that the others were hopeless at doing, well… everything. But to go to sleep late and still be able to wake up at four or three without bags under his eyes must be impossible.

You, curiously, peeked into the room. It was empty, just like you expected. The bed was flawlessly done, void of any signs of recent use. The floor was bare and clean, not a single spic of dust or dirt graced it. The closet door was open, a few suits hanging on the rack.

Suddenly, a noise reached your ears. Started, you realized that you had, unintentionally wandered into the room while you were looking inside. You looked around to find the source of the sound, not finding anything.

“Meow”

Eyes still wide, you looked downward, to meet the pair of yellowish green eyes of a brown and white kitten. Your shocked face immediately turns into relief and amusement as you settled your candle down.

“Aren’t you adorable?” You cooed as you picked the kitten up huddling it against your chest. It meowed slowly and pawed your hand playfully. Unfortunately for you, you were so preoccupied with the purring fluff ball of a kitten to notice the presence of someone else. Until, of course, a pair of gloved hands removed the feline animal out of your grasp.

“Wha-“

“My dear (Y/N), if I may ask; what are you doing in my room?”

A smug looking Sebastard was staring at you, a smirk tugging on his lips while he gently petted purring kitten. It made you furious that the kitten was purring in his arms as well as it was in yours. In your outlook of things, things as adorable as kittens should NOT like a asshole like Sebastian.

“NO, MUFFIN, NOT THE DARK SIDE!” you exclaimed taking Muffin, coming up with the name last second, and almost facepalming at how stupid it sounded. Sebastian, on the other hand, sweatdropped at your behavior.

“Really?” Sebastian said, regaining his posture, “Muffin, such an unoriginal name. And if I remember correctly you still hadn’t answered my question yet (Y/N).”

You rolled you eyes, a bit annoyed, “I just saw your room door open, dumbass.”

“That doesn’t mean you have to walk into it.” His voice mocked you, “If I didn’t know better, I would have thought that you were looking for me~”

“Like I would be.” You flicked him off as you shoved past him. The kitten now newly named Muffin, clawed out of your arms, much to your displeasure.

“Ow that hurt! You stupid piece of sh-,” a gloved hand covered your mouth, muffling the rest of your sentence.

“A lady shouldn’t use such language, what if we had guests over (Y/N)? Will I have to shut you up for you?”

“I was going to say ‘shrimp’! Don’t just jump to conclusions!” You quickly fabricated a lie and rushed out of the room, shutting the door behind you, quickly realizing your mistake.

“Who needs light anyways?” You grind your teeth together as you speed walked down the now even darker hallway. “My room’s not even that far away. I don’t need that stupid candle.”

Not long later, a cold hard surface came in contact with your face, knocking you backwards and off your feet. You, rubbing your nose at the sudden pain, cursing at the wall that you happened to walked straight into. After a little more wandering, you notice a light around the corner, only to realize that the light was from the kitchen. I blame Bard for all of this. He's dieing first thing tomorrow

You walked into the kitchen, hoping to get another candle form the drawer when you noticed that another figure that was already in the kitchen.

“Well, hello again,” Sebastian was in the kitchen fixing the wall, which, was already fixed, at least from your perspective.

You, pretty pissed at losing your precious sleeping time, beelined toward the dresser and took out another candle and a candle rim. After lighting it, you looked up to see a pair of red eyes staring at you.

You yelp in shock, nearing throwing the candle at his smexy face. Only until then did you realize that Sebastian was shirtless, his tailcoat and shirt folded neatly on the counter. God, his abs, and those biceps, completely utterly dreamy, and is he sweaty!? Your brain stopped, (which, if I, the author may point out, is not a good thing) causing you to pass out.

-Random POV change-

Sebastian stared at your limp body on the floor. He had barely been able to catch the falling candle before it hit you. He did get a reaction from you, for why else will he be so close to your face? Even if the reaction was a little more than he sought for. At least when he’s carrying you back to your room, he could ‘accidently’ let his hands roam.
