Once the shock had worn off, Ron quickly moved into confusion. Having a vase full of roses explode in your face will do that. A few questions went through his mind, mostly relating to "why" and "how". Never the less, he decided to keep looking for some way out. He walked up the stairs in search for some answers. He ignored the rose, for some reason it managed to slip his mind for the next few minutes

As he did so, he felt something with his sleeve which was a bit odd. He looked at it and saw something most unusual was going on with it. Save for the shoulders, it was getting tighter. it was also getting longer, slowly creeping down his arm. There was also some discoloration going on. The red trim began to fade while the rest of the fabric around it got darker. But that was nothing compared to what was going on with his arms. They got slimmer and the skin became smoother. Hairs began falling out. More and more they began to look feminine. And these changes were not alone, his goatee shriveled up while his scalp hair grew out, among a variety of other changes.
