Folke forest = Semi-rainforest
Nymph woods = Thick temperate forest
Chuddly vale = Thin temperate forest
Nias island = Dense rainforest with tall mountains
Roshell coral reef = Vast coral reefs

Lore
When the island first became a refuge for lost creatures, it was still attached to mainland as a peninsula island. In fact, any normal human could pass through the wildwoods if they wished. However, over time the inhabitants of the island became wary of humans, after having to seek shelter from the destruction and death caused by human activity. This led to many conflicts between humans and the inhabitants of the forest, a great number of deaths both creature and human started to escalate into a war.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world had quickly become unlivable for these creatures, and the loss of the oldest forests left hordes of them homeless and searching. The inhabitants became overwhelmed by the loss of their kin but also the huge influx of refugees from across the world. Once the island had become so deeply populated with inhabitants seeking refuge, the wisest and strongest from the Council of Three decided to seal it off from the rest for the world to prevent humans from continuing to slaughter their kind.

The wisest was, of course, a particular sentient megafauna that came from the deep. With his vast psionic abilities, he commanded a large army of aquatic creatures that prevented all ships or other means of human transportation to the island. Though, this was not enough- so over time he and his army shifted the island away from the mainland, leaving a broken trail of land behind him. However within years of their moving, humans had already created aircraft which they used to search for the island and would often crash into the mountaintops.

He then implored the strongest of the fauna on the mountains, the lonely and isolated, to also protect the island by attacking and destroying any aircraft that would fly into their area. These creatures were of all sorts, shapes, sizes and temperaments. They held off all the humans coming from air; those humans with their technology of flight and mobility could not penetrate the high cloud tops of the mountain, and would definitely not make it past the scattered but strong presence of the lonesome creatures.

While this worked to keep their brethren in the island safe, things started to deteriorate slowly. There wasn't enough food nor space for them all as their numbers increased, and it became salient that famine and war between them was imminent. There were many causes for the lack of resources but the most profound one was- the humans. The rapid environmental catastrophes had destroyed their deep forest homelands, causing the last few of their kind to all collect on this one island. The different sentient creatures on the island then started to form different opinions on what to do about the crisis.
Some said war with the humans, and this was heard loudest by the ones in the deep as they had suffered the most.
Others said, peace and give up- as they had seen too much to believe anything would save their dwindling species now.

I use a crayon brush in SAI to add texture after using default watercolour to lay all the colours :3 Basically any texture that looks kinda fluffy will do hehe

And sadly no I havent found any tutorials! I just sorta do my thing XD I guess looking at google earth helps for visualizing coastlines:33
