DISABLED COMMENTS: I'm beyond tired of the name dropping going on in the comments. Please do not note me about people 'who need to be blocked' don't air your dirty laundry upon other people.No one was reading the description:
-I do not care about who you are talking about.
- It's not relevant
- I really don't care about drama you're involved in and I'm really not interested
-it might entice the user to search their name and see the comment and start arguing with you on this page.
-Please do not ask me if what you're doing is okay. It probably is okay, unless you block for the reasons below.

If you don't block people for the following reasons:
-Someone disagrees with your opinion(s)
-Someone isn't kissing your ass, or not saying nice things to you or about your art
-Someone critiqued you
-Someone called you out on your bullshit
-A friend of yours told you that X deviant is a bitch/douchebag since they were a 'meany-head' to them and/or had a disagreement.
-Some deviant you saw wrote a journal saying "BLOCK THIS PERSON!!"
-You NEVER even spoke to that person, but you think they are an obnoxious person due to their journals or the way they talk
-You find the user using 'offensive' language. i.e: cuss words and/or other mature content in their gallery.
-A user told you what you were doing/behavior was wrong and you're trying to cover up your ass
-Someone trolled you
-Someone else blocked you
-To avoid confrontation
-To avoid someone replying back to you in an argument/debate, basically coward out.
-You feel like it
-You don't even remember why you didn't like them, but you block them anyway
-It makes you in the 'right' or automatically win an argument
-it will possibly end up making the blocked user harass you more

Edit: When it's okay to block:
-Someone is repeatedly harassing you, or looking for drama on your page.
-Someone is trolling and it's not just "u suck" "go suck my cock" comments that are just a hit and run. I mean people who literally don't stop and ignoring isn't doing the job.
-When someone is constantly bothering you about a fight you had and you're over it. You block them and they use sock puppet accounts to harass you.
Of course there are exceptions to the rule. If things get out of hand, it would be wise to block, but do so at your own discretion.

I only hide or spam comments on my profile if I don't want something to be seen. I almost never block someone until they block me first or only if I'm afraid they may stir trouble on my profile.
I've only got maybe 4-6 people blocked that I know of.... Hopefully it'll stay that way

Blocking pointlessly is something I see so often, especially when someone get beaten in a discussion and the sends an nasty reply and blocks so they cannot be called out, its very cowardly.
Id only ever block for the reasons you stated, though people should respect each other, we must also remember that we should not abuse a system that was intended for goodΒ

I just hate that when someone is really annoying to you like this person I had to deal with when he dislikes MLP, but when I told that I wasn't gonna block if we ended it with a nice end but I told him that I was gonna block him and he called me a P

There's some Annoying kid who keeps trying to accuse me of being a cyberbully.
Keep in mind, This said Kid doesn't have ANY Evidence, and so he's using Ben Drowned to try and scare us into saying "Sorry" When he started drama over me blocking his friend.
So then this kid comes in and tries to beg for me to unblock him.
I refuse.
So then the kid makes ANOTHER account to block evade.
He got suspended for a Month, then he started trying to join one of our groups.
Then he kept making shit, and now all of us just want him banned.
I, Myself am not wishing people to be banned if they don't have to.
But if they continually become a pain in the ass for everyone, and they're rule breaking, well OF COURSE I'M GONNA Report that.
And the kid in question has this stamp on his profile, And he even put my name in his signature.

Bluh. I'll read it anyway but after this I'm disabling comments because I'm tired of playing mediator or spectator as people need to just stop interacting with each other to stop drama.
Asking other people to block a person that you have problems with is extremely petty and unnecessary. If you and others who personally experience trouble with someone, then blocking should be limited only to the people involved, yourself included. NEVER involve your watchers in your block scuffles unless you absolutely need to clear the air, and even then it's best to keep it off public domain. It's very hard to resist, but honestly if you guys can't settle a dispute the only resolution is to STOP CONTACT IMMEDIATELY. Sometimes people don't get along, trying to jab at each other through journals is tempting and you think it helps but it actuality it doesn't. Even if you think they'll understand your side of the story, they usually won't. People aren't willing to heed an opposing party out if there's deep seeded/recent negative feelings on either end.
If you got suspended or banned then you know not to do whatever it was you did, or not be on here if you're not 13 yet.

Just for the record, don't involve people you don't know with your internet squabbles. Save it for the people you know personally because strangers are usually apt to give advice as they are intolerant of this kind of stuff. Hell, I'm too old for this myself I'm 25, lol. Save it for people your age who have free time on their hands to get involved and probably go about it wrong anyway because they are young and like to involve themselves where they shouldn't.
