Re-haired with high quality hair meant for human extensions, so it's extra long, body painted with spray acrylic (gray primer, with what was meant to be just a light coat of blue over, to give her a nice grey-blue tone, but the blue showed up a bit brighter than I was expecting- I kinda liked it, though, and just left it that way), with hand-painted eyes and Cutie mark, also done with acrylic.Related content

Excellent job! If I didn't come from a 2 1/2 world country, I so would buy it!!! Although, it sort of bothers me that she came out more blue-ish , almost like Rainbow Dash. Next time don't be shy with the gray colour! The hair is so beautiful...

Aw, thanks! Yeah, I've gotten a few comments about how blue she came out, and I completely agree- I think I had a cool idea with the layering thing, even if the execution of it didn't quite go as planned! I'm looking into finding the right shade of gray for the next time I do Derpy.

Yep, long hair is loooong, I agree! But I decided to leave it that way, since she's been listed on ebay, so that whoever gets her can cut/style it themselves. It just seemed like it would be kind of fun to give her new owner the chance to do something custom to her themselves.

Ah, thank you! I used actual extension hair for her mane and tail, and left it long so that her new owner can cut/style it themselves.

Thank you! I actually made a hair re-rooting tool by taking a regular sewing needle, and dremeling off the top half of the eye of the needle, so it made a tiny, pronged "fork" that I could pick up the hair with, and just poke it in right where the original mane and tail had been. Then, just glued the inside of the head to secure it in place, so it can be brushed without it coming out at all.
