Description
I recently had the chance to revisit the waterfalls I shot a few weeks earlier. This time around, it was raining and I had to manage the tripod with one hand while holding the umbrella with the other. The title is in reference to the shot taken the last time, called "Factory Falls - Upper Falls" plus Rev for revisited and 1 as there are more than one shot of this fall in the new set, this being the first of them.
Please see my Waterfall Gallery here [link] for more beautiful shots
Thanks for looking, your comments are welcome (and desired),
Ingo

Thank you very much
I saw in your nice gallery that you are, similar to me, into seed closeups. Check out mine on my profile page (down on left) if you are interested.

Ah, you have a great collection of seed closeups. I do like those kinds of shots, but only had time for a very few, and only the one really turned out decent. I hope next fall I'll have a chance to snap some more.
(I have to ask...how did you do the little "series" galleries inside of your featured art modules on your profile page? I really like that!)

Thanks for the compliment
About the "Boxes":
I was directed to the pages of Xommander-Luminaire [link] as there is code and description on how to do that.

Have you been there? I do have another shot of this waterfall that shows the whole fall, in case you care.

I don't think so, where is this place?

IngoSchobert In reply to lori77 [2009-12-16 19:52:44 +0000 UTC]
That place is in the US, so maybe not
But by that chance I saw your shot [link] - as I am currently reading a few mountaineering books, this is an awesome shot to picture my thoughts.

I've been to US twice...so who knows???
But I don't remember it...
Thanks for the comment on my shot...this are Slovenian Alps, they are really beautiful...If you like to read books about mountains...read the one wrote by an american writter Bernadette Mcdonald: Tomaz Humar.
It's a great book about our amazing alpinist who unfortunatly died in Himalaya a few weeks ago...if you get the chance to read it, let me know what you think about it...

These falls are close to the Delaware River (within minutes) at the border between New Jersey and Pennsilvania.
I added your book tip to my Amazon wish list, thank you so much for that tip

i feel like the surrounds on these photos detract from it rather than boost it... i suppose that's life though..

I agree, somewhat.
But I would phrase it as "the trees being included makes it a scape rather than a waterfall"

not really. that wasnt what i meant anyway. the trees just dont add to the overall picture. they dont make it a scape. i could say a lot... but im not very good at expressing myself in a way which portrays it as anything other than as a criticism. when i dont mean to criticise, i mean to explain what i see myself or what i want myself, which is a fault of me and not necessarily of you. so maybe i should just shut up..

Lovely. I think if you wanted to make this a bit better, I'd crop out the top part where you can see the gray sky. If you go again, if you can include a bit more of the falls, that might be nice, too. The shutter speed is very good on this.

IngoSchobert In reply to La-Vita-a-Bella [2009-10-30 17:29:55 +0000 UTC]
Thank you Paula
Good idea on the cropping of the sky, a rain clouded block of gray does really not add to the atmosphere
About the "more of the falls": you will have to wait until I post that shot, I already have it
