Just like Narcissus - this water drop cannot help itself from staring at its own reflection, just to collide with it and cause its destruction.Beauty is temporary, character forever! And vanity kills!
This is a macro photograph of a water drop just before it hits the surface of a container filled with water, hence the reflection.
WOW, DAILY DEVIATION - this is fantastic! I am so happy that a work like this one finds appreciation in the DA community. Thank you so much to for suggesting this piece for a DD and thanks a lot to for featuring it!!!

wow how many tries did you need for that? it takes ages to get the water calm again.

Actually, the water calms within a few seconds, just don't use too deep of a dish
