Dark from DN Angel. This is one of my favorite series of all time. ^-^ The manga is better than the anime though by far. I put off inking and coloring this for weeks. I'm such a procrastinator. >.< I know some of it's not proportional, and I know that it doesn't look *exactly* like him, but I was honestly trying to draw him in my own style, so it doesn't look as "shojo-ish" as the manga. But I was really focusing on the coloring here more than anything else, so I'd love some real critique on that. Hope you all like it, and thanks so much for supporting me even though I've been too busy to draw as much as I'd like to lately.

Although it's another style I make him out as Dark at the first view.
I really love the mouth (or rather his whole mien) and the shading.
It's a bit filthy (around the fringe). And the shading of the skin is in itself a little patchy. -But don't worry; I know this problem... I can't handle it by myself.

The scanner is often an problem. But you can use fixative spray befor you scan. -'Cause I learned that it smudge (more) if you lay it in the scannner...

Fixative spray? Is that like the stuff you put on pastel drawings so they don't smudge? Where do you buy it, and does it compromise the integrity of the drawing?

Yes; it's the same. And you can use it for colored pencil as well. (I tried it. ^^ )

Im trying to get better at coloring and shading, so I'm glad you are seeing some improvement. ^-^ I'm trying to be more conscious when I color a picture too, instead of spacing out like I usually do... I hope it's working. lol

i think i got up to like volume 7, i should really continue buying them.
im only on volume 5 of tsubasa but i love it, and i prefer the manga to the anime, again. do u read it?

There are only 11 volumes of DN Angel that have been released. The author stopped writing it (she's known for that). I hope she continues sometimes soon! It's so very sad. T^T It completely left me hanging.
I have read the first volume of Tsubasa, but I haven't bothered reading past that, and I haven't seen the anime. I keep meaning to read it, but i never seem to get a chance.

That stinkss! Once I have some money, I'm going to buy the next couple of volumes. If you do get the chance, I recommend it. I especially liked it because I've read most of the Card Captor Sakuras, I started when I was like, 10, lol.

Thanks! I think the hair came out better in this one because I used 3 colors and highlights... usually I only use 2 colors and highlights. Perhaps I have discovered a new technique! ^-^
