I like the result of step 11 but I wouldn't go any further than that. I like the steps up to eleven, I'll definitely use them, thanks [link]

I'm lost at step 6. What version of paint shop is this done in exactly? When I press Ctrl L, it brings up something else. I can't seem to get it to invert. Help?!?!

Not my opinion. The truth. You would never see this kind of work in vogue. I suggest checking out [link] and browsing their forums. They barely use blur, instead the dodge and burn technique is used for real professional retouching. I thought i was actually doing pro retouching too until I checked them out. Have a nice day.

Initio In reply to Ins3nsitive [2008-09-12 09:42:07 +0000 UTC]

I know tht site well

And yup, people still use blur - the way I explain it.. not by over doing it like most people have the tens to do..

So this is my version, and if you got your own thats fine

Professionals try not to blur skin at all. You need to practice.

Good tutorial! It's amazing to see how a photo can be changed but it's always nice to see appreciation for the original.
I love photomanipulation but not when it's to cover up the photographer's mistakes.
Good first tutorial! Mine looked awful

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Initio In reply to ditto9 [2008-05-09 11:48:11 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much
I don't like to cover up mictakes, but to enchane the beauty of the person in the photo.. And i don't like the pictures where it is so obvious it has been retouched..
So i hope I have achieved that in this tutorial

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ditto9 In reply to Initio [2008-05-13 14:38:58 +0000 UTC]

yeah, you have!
I agree, enhancement is fine. I'm a bit iffy about cropping (even though I end up doing it) because a good photographer should know composition, but then again there are those times when it's impossible or its forgotton, which is fair enough.
I dont like it when people go too far with it either, when it looks real, still, but perfect, thats a good touchup!
