Description
I decided to design the setting for this pendant similar to an azurite and malachite pendant that I made a while ago. It takes a little longer to make the setting because I have to leave space between the stone and the wires to slip the spiraling wire through at the end.I love this labradorite - it has a bright golden flash from almost any direction, with just a little bit of greens and dark blue in the lower right corner. (You can just see that part peeking out in this photo.) I left the rest of the setting quite simple because the stone is obviously the focal point of the piece.

It's gorgeous, and a great capture of the lab too

Pretty! I like how the wrap doesn't hide the stone's flash, really nice

I just got about 30 new labradorites! It probably takes almost as long to get good photos of them as it does to make the jewelry in the first place xD

Lucky you! I agree, it can take awhile to get a good photo. (my dad's a semi-serious photographer, I would know.) But it actually doesn't take me forever for an average pendant, and I usually don't have the patience to take a good picture. (I usually take several of them, upload them, and choose the best.) I guess I should start using my dad's old camera, he offered that and it's pretty good... Anyways, I'd love to see the new labradorite pretties!
