my art trade with
her character Uhan :
;u;b I have finished my 12 color crayola challenge! It was so fun using all the colors and learning how to shade differently!
My challenge was to use only 12 colored pencils from a crayola colored pencil set and see what I can do with them. this is what happened.
Why did I do this? To show that you do not need fancy materials to make art. If you love to draw the materials come to you and you learn how to use whatever you have.

did you ink this before coloring or did you just use the color pencils to darken lines?

no ink was used on this picture, I was tempted to use ink like I normally do but I wanted to challenge myself to learn some new techniques.

This is really fantastic work. It is not just the fact that you limited you were limited in your material but the detail here is so exceptional. I love the eyes and all the shading and work that went into them. The snake also is great and I even love the bandage on the arm. Bravo!

Thank you! I just was getting tired of people saying that they couldn't create great art and stuff unless they had the finest materials or a tablet. I just kind of...I guess wanted to prove them wrong. That it's not so much about materials but technique. :3 I'm very glad you like it.
