;u;b I have finished my 12 color crayola challenge! It was so fun using all the colors and learning how to shade differently!
My challenge was to use only 12 colored pencils from a crayola colored pencil set and see what I can do with them. this is what happened.
Why did I do this? To show that you do not need fancy materials to make art. If you love to draw the materials come to you and you learn how to use whatever you have.

aww really? It's just how I feel sometimes, especially when I see a lot of people online be all like "oh I can't do this because I don't have these materials" and blah blah blah but my philosophy is that if you are meant to color with certain things than they will find you in time. I unno, it's best to learn with what you got.

And it's at these times, I'm glad that dA still has artists such as you that I can gleam from. Most of the time a lot of new/young artists think that a tablet will help them reach to higher points in their art, but a tablet doesn't make an artist an artist, or make their work great. It's the artist themselves and their ideas and spirit that create the art.
And as you say, an artist can use any tool. They don't always have to have the best of everything though yes it can be nice.
Seeing you put all you got into this picture and reading your words has made me reassure of myself because for awhile I was beginning to feel like that me using colored pencils was silly even though I love using them. xD

it's true, I mean, whether your heart is in traditonal or digital it's how you want to draw that makes it special. You shouldn't choose a certain medium just so you can get more views or whatever for it but because you enjoy using it. Art isn't about competition, and I think a lot of people on art sites like this seem to forget.
You should continue using and learning how to use colored pencils. You might wow yourself one day ; 3;b
