EDIT: xD Fixed a typo
So pre Volume 5 I was saying I was going to make fanart... and then I didn't... xD Sorry!
However I've gotten some RWBY fuel back so here you go! Volume 5 fanart!
This was by far one of my favorite lines in the whole Volume, it just spoke VOLUMES. Β And showed how much Blake had overcome her fear of Adam, and how he was so much more powerless without that hold on her mind.
I was kinda doing some 'fake anime screenshots thing' so it ended up like this, not an exact replica of the original scene, but the way I liked it.

This is one of my favorite moments from the volume five too. It's right up there with Yang verbally knocking Raven off her high horse and Nora's epic one liner against Hazel.

More important things?Β Like what? She came there to stop the White Fang from destroying Haven. Adam is the leader of the White Fang. Therefore she came there to deal with him. She has no idea RWY or JNR are even there, let alone the other villains. She's probably never even seen Oscar, Raven, Vernal, Hazel, or Lionheart before. She doesn't know about Salem, the Maidens, or the relics. Nor does she know about Ruby's Silver eyes or Yang's new arm. So what are these "more important things"?

She knew her friends were there, and chasing after Adam, assuming he is still stronger than her, could've left to her dead corpse resting in some obscure corner of Mystral.
Also she knew her friends were there, but she had no idea if they were safe. Therefore it'd be more important to check on their safety than to run into a suicidal situation.
The only reason she beat him in that scene, inΒ my opinion, was cause he was caught off guard. Also with so many officials around it'd be hard for Adam to do any damage on his own, so the most dangerous people were his whole group, not just him.
That being said you are entitled to your own opinion on the situation.
