This is a quick guide for a friend for how to use the Unit Cancellation method of calculating, problem solving and conversions. I have found it very handy in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Math, and Accounting.

This method makes quick work of figuring out things like how many seconds there are in 25 years.
You start with 25 years.
You know you have to get rid of years, so you use 52 weeks per year.
Then you know you have to get rid of weeks, so you use 7 days in a week.
Then you know you have to get rid of days, so you use 24 hours per day.
Then you know you need to get rid of hours, so you use 60 minutes per hour.
Then you know you have to get rid of minutes, so you uses 60 seconds per minute.
Now you are done, you have nothing left but seconds.
