Indiana rural areas are about the same as what you saw. Sometimes you don't have to go very far out to find such areas! But that is part of the charm!

I did see movement in a window... someone checking us out while we were checking them out. The door was closed so I decided to wait for a sign!

Though this was quite the elegant place in its day, with a marvelous porch and fascinating lines and angles.

It is truly sad to see these gentle giants left to become heaps of rubbish. Somewhere along the line a family member just gave up. Maybe sickness prevailed, or a drought took their crops, perhaps it was left as a inheritence and the family couldn't agree on it so they just let it go. Bottom line, beauties like this are slowly leaving our landscapes and will soon just be a fleeting memory...
